Tino Piontek alias Purple Disco Machine eert in zijn artiestennaam Prince en de Miami Sound Machine, wiens funk, pop en disco een grote invloed hebben op zijn nu-disco sound. Sinds 2020 scoort de Duitse DJ en producer wereldhits als Hypnotized, In The Dark en Substitution. Piontek is ook een veelgevraagd remixer en wint een Grammy Award met zijn versie van Lizzo’s About Damn Time. Purple Disco Machine steekt disco en synthpop in een hedendaags jasje en brengt het terug naar de dansvloer en de top van de hitlijst.
